How are trackers attached to portable toilets?
Compact Bluetooth tags are fitted to suitable existing units using the recommended mounting method for the tag and asset. The position should suit the toilet’s construction, handling and cleaning routine. We can discuss those requirements with your team.
Does every portable toilet need GPS?
No. A Bluetooth tag is not a standalone GPS tracker. A portable toilet’s latest-seen location updates when a compatible gateway or scanner detects its tag. This also applies to fleets described as portable restrooms; detection coverage depends on the deployment.
How does Trackio know when a toilet has moved?
Trackio builds a history from tagged-asset detections and the associated location and time context. Detections at different locations help your team review movement. A unit that has not been detected again will retain its latest-seen record.
Can Trackio help verify service activity?
Yes. Asset detections, movement history and associated vehicle, site and time context provide evidence your team can compare with service schedules. These records support a service review; they do not guarantee that every service event is automatically confirmed.
Can Trackio work with our existing portable toilets?
Compatible tags can be fitted to suitable portable toilets you already operate. You do not need to replace the fleet. Hardware and mounting choices depend on the units and their operating environment.
Do our service vehicles need hardware?
Vehicle-based detection uses compatible gateways. Depending on your operation, mobile scanning and other supported detection infrastructure can also contribute records. We can review existing equipment and coverage with you before choosing a configuration.
How long do the Bluetooth tags last?
The current EYE Beacon option has a manufacturer-specified battery life of up to 10 years at qualifying settings. Actual battery life depends on configuration, operating conditions and use. We will discuss suitable hardware and settings for your fleet.
Can we start with only part of the fleet?
Yes. Start with a defined group of units, a yard or an equipped vehicle group and review how the records fit your workflow. You can expand the deployment as you establish the coverage and processes you need.
